Lack of time out of having to do my job as a freelance book translator—which I normally do after office hours, at home—, I had been missing watching interesting up-to-date movies. And, I even didn’t know that this one, Premonition, even existed.
At first, I was like…oh, why would she (she refers to one of my bestest friends) want me to watch this? What’s in it that makes it so special anyway? But, I watched in anyway since I had promised her that I would do it this weekend—and I’ve just finished it.
So, now, I have to thank her for making me watch it—she bought the DVD for me an sent her driver to drop it at my house right away after I told her that I might have had no time to buy it for I had no plan to go to a mall this weekend. This is a remarkable movie.
I, personally, gave 5 stars for this movie of which the first few scenes gave me a total confusion—although out of curiosity, I have taken a peep on
Wikipedia, just to find out what this movie as about. But then, I managed to understand where it was leading to. It was a part romance, part thriller (at least for me, since I hate thriller so much, I don’t like my adrenalin to work that hard!).
At the last few scenes, I tried my best not to cry. Yet, when Linda (Sandra Bullock, how I love this movie star!) woke up in a lovely morning—it was the very last scene—I couldn’t help it. Tears were sliding on my cheeks.
This movie teaches us about destiny. I wouldn’t want to talk much about this one since if I do, it would be a spoiler.
It also teaches us about love. How every moment, expressing love is important for you don’t know what you’ll be facing the next one second, one minute, one hour, one day, one week, etc. Just let the one(s) you love know and be able to feel it.
And, it teaches us about how you need to fight for anything, love, marriage, happiness. Don’t just sit down and watch things (or your life) break into pieces. Fight for it.
Well, up until I write this review (it’s Sunday, August 05, 2007, 01.05 AM), I still don’t know why this great friend of mine made me watch this wonderful movie. But, I really thank her for that.
Any other movie, pal?
