13 Facts about My City - Jakarta
- The traffic jam is getting worse whenever it's time for workers to go to the office or to go home from work.
- It has more apartments. But, I hope I don't have to live in one. I'm kinda scared. What if there's an earthquake or fire? (yeah, call me old fashion! ;D)
- We have more busways. The public transportation is hopefully getting better.
- In some areas, it really looks like a metropolitan city.
- It has a river that used to be very dirty but now is built to be a way of transportation (still on process).
- Every rainy season, flood is almost everywhere.
- The inhabitants - day: 12 million, night: 8 million. The 4 million are workers living in suburb area.
- This year, the first election for governor was done. Before, the governor was chosen by the central government.
- There are lots of restaurants an cafes being built.
- Inhabitants from other cities prefer to look for jobs in Jakarta since it has more opportunities.
- It was built in the early 17th century (reconstructed and expanded in 1817).
- It is a port city.
- It might not have a Disneyworld but it has Dufan and SeaWorld! Hahaha!
