My Lovely Thursday 13

13 Things about My Blog's New Look!

  1. No matter how I change it, it's still my greeny blog :D
  2. I just have to thank V4NY again and again for her great free templates. Hope she doesn't mind the little changes.
  3. Now the blog is cute. I just love it so cute. It's my 3rd change of template, I guess. And, this is the one I feel terribly satisfied! :D
  4. It's not the 3 column blog that I've been dreaming of but it's the cutest (how many times have I said cute so far?)
  5. I feel like posting again and again here.
  6. The comments on the new look are 99% supportive :D
  7. At first, if you see the flower pic in the footer, that was the same pic on each post and it's located in the middle of the post and that's distracting the writings. I did some changes here and there to make it readable.
  8. The CSS codes are not too complicated, yippie!
  9. Before, the pic of the header is Betty Boop's. Well, since I thought that had nothing to do with me, I changed it.
  10. I'm planning to put pictures on the header, but I haven't had the time yet.
  11. My hubby thinks it's nice. Well, he's not exactly a cutie fan, he'd prefer black as his fave color.
  12. I like the sidebar. Even though it's not 2-column sidebar, it doesn't make all my stuffs too crowded, does it?
  13. I don't think I'll change it again in the next few decades (hahaha...I get bored of changing the CSS codes, to be honest)...

The New Look!

I finally got my blog a new look that I've been dreaming of. (A better dream comes true would be a 3-column-design, but this lovely 2-column-one is as wonderful!)

Thanks to V4NY who made it happen by posting beautiful templates on her site and let the viewers download the one they like.

Hope she's ok with my little changes here and there.

Thanks again, V4NY!

[Fave Quote] Plato

Love is a serious mental disease.

Who is Plato?

That quote of Plato's made me smile and indeed, laugh. He's kinda right about that. Love makes you smile with no reason, makes you laugh even if nothing's funny, makes you cry out of silly things.

Agree with Plato?

13 Things I Like about My Hubby

13 Things I Like about My Hubby

  1. He's crazy about computer and stuff. So, whenever I have problems with computer or internet connections, I simply ask him.
  2. He loves music. And, he's been 'guiding' me to wonderful songs. Well, basically, our taste of music isn't totally the same. But there are some of his faves that I can live with. He also plays guitar and some other music instruments. Yes! I once told my self that my hubby should be able to play guitar. So, when he proposed me and I realized that he played guitar, I couldn't say anything but YES!
  3. He's never angry too long. If something I did bothered him and he got a bit mad about it, he never kept that too long. Less than half an hour he started hugging me.
  4. He's funny. People think he's a calm and quiet person. But, if only with his family, he can be very very funny!
  5. He loves to clean up. He hates dust. That helps a lot!
  6. He's modest. He doesn't care that much about wealth. I learn a lot about it from him.
  7. He's handsome. Yes, he is!
  8. He's a wonderful lover. He really is!
  9. He's not a hypocrite. Everything he says, it's the truth. Sometimes it hurts. But it's at least not a lie.
  10. He's now a jealous hubby. Before, he never was jealous. But now I find some improvements. :) Yeah, once in a while being jealous at is no harm.
  11. He forgets a lot about dates. So, I have to be there for him to remind him about our first meeting, out first date, etc. Why I like it? Because it adds romantic chat bet ween us.
  12. He is a good control of my babyhana. There are times when I felt like I couldn't handle her by myself and he never hesitated to help me.
  13. He loves to chat with me. Last night, we laid in bed and did nothing but chatting about lots of things, from his past, my past, war, earthquake, our future, life, etc.
And, last Tuesday was our 3rd anniversary. We've been through a lot. And, those don't stop me from loving you.

Why Can't You Just Be Thankful, Nad!

Lately, I've been complaining a lot about a lot of things in my life. That makes my life seem terribly miserable. Lack of this and lack of that.

But then, my mom told me her story when visiting a relative with a very sad condition of life. And, this afternoon I met someone who also shared her sad story.

Zap! Suddenly I felt so ashamed of myself.

How could I complain so much while there are dozens of people out there who can't even know what to eat today?

Actually, I've been blaming it on my hormones. I've been taking birth control pills. And, my feeling miserable, I thought, was hormonal, caused by the pills.

But then, now, I realized. It's not always about the pills. It's also about me. I'm just not thankful enough!

And, I'm ashamed.

And, I made a promise. To be a better person.

Life is NEVER easy. But, it's your thought that can make it simpler.

Work is My GetAway

getaway #1

When I do my job, I put the music on. I get my earphone readily stuck on my ears. I try not to think about other things but the job and the joy it brings.

Yeah, thankfully, my job is something I like doing inspite of it's complication. So, everyday (most of the days, to be exact!) I go to the office with certain excitement that I'll get myself drowned in the center of a busy hectic yet enjoyable life.

Things I couldn't have back when I worked for the previous 2 companies. Well, the 1st one was a lot better than the 2nd one, but this 3rd one is simply the best, in terms of the jobdescs, location, surroundings.

Not that I don't enjoy being at home with my daughter and hubby and other family, but, everyone must need a getaway. Everyone needs sometime alone. And, I'm just lucky to have that everyday. I'm just lucky tobe able to feel alone although there are other 5 persons in the office.

Actually, I'd love to be a S-A-H-M or a W-A-H-M. I think one day I will. Or, actually, I've been telling myself that I have to. That would be a dream come true.

Yet, I think, I'll prepare a space at home for me to 'work' or simply to 'contemplate'.

Are you a working mom, too? Please share...

Why Can't I Read Non-Fiction Fast?

Since July, I've been reading this good book about Hello Kitty and Sanrio business. It's obviously a non-fiction book. I borrowed it from my boss who happens to have tons of good books placed in the office.

So, everytime I had spare time (read=time when my baby and hubby sleeps and I'm not in front of my laptop), I took the book and read it. The content is very interesting. It gives me tons of knowledge about the cutie trend and culture in Japan. And, how the business was build. And, the ups and downs of this Japanese business in US.

But...it's been a month and I haven't finished the book! That's actually not so surprising since I almost always need centuries to finish a non-fiction book.

Last week end I finished and in just 2 days! Both books are fictions.

My reading speed to non-fiction and fiction seem to be different. A lot different, apparently.

I think that what makes me kinda decide not to get my master degree. I don't like reading text book. I think, one day, I'll just take a writing course. The 3 or 6 months one. Wondering if there's any scholarship on that one. 'Coz I don't think I can afford it. I'd like to have it abroad.

BTW, I've been editing my novel, the one I took back from the publisher. Thanks to those books above, I got back my spirit.

I also have been writing a kids novel. :D

If any of you would like to take a look at some of my short stories, please feel free to visit http://myfictionstories.blogspot.com and let me know what you think.

Have a nice MONDAY!

2nd Thursday 13 - What's in My Drawers?

It's the drawer located in my desk at the office.

  1. Vanilla Lotion - I just love the smell of vanilla. I got it from Body Shop.
  2. Earphone - If I don't use it tolisten to my fave music, it lays nicely in the drawer.
  3. Magazines - Sometimes I use them for fun, some other time for getting sources for my writings.
  4. CDs - Any CDs, musics, the ones containing pics.
  5. Diskettes - for light data.
  6. Papers - yup...simply papers, only they're with notes.
  7. Administrative Papers - yes, they're parts of my job.
  8. Tissues - gotta keep some in there just in case I get flu.
  9. Coffee - Yeahhhh...I need it at around 4!
  10. Creamer - I drink coffee with creamer, it tastes better
  11. Spoons and forks - just be ready in case some friends bring food! ;D
  12. Lip balm - sometimes my lips are getting dry, I always keep one at the office
  13. An account book from my bank - this is supposed to be a secret!
:D I just love TT!

The Ups and Downs in Life

It's like you're on a roller coaster. The Ups and Downs can make some of you throw up or at least feel dizzy. But some others felt it as fun!

Me? I'm just not in the mood for a roller coaster. I'd prefer sitting on a bench beside the roller coaster area and watching people screaming out loud while experiencing ups and downs in the roller coaster.

But, you know, I don't live by myself...there's someone that takes me by the hand and makes me get into the roller coaster.

So, here I am...experiencing the ups and downs, no, I don't throw up--yet--but I have these constant headaches because the roller coaster refused to halt.

Glad that I have this lovely yet determined little girl...as long as she's there, I can stand almost anything.

Love you so much, BabyHana...
