What Next?

Next Tuesday will be the last day that I send the translation to the publishing company. Fiuh...

But then, what? No other translation project yet.

Well, I think I'll just finish my neglected 2nd novel.

The 1st one is still in that big publishing company. No result yet. Let's just hope that my patience will come to a great end. Amin.

Organize My Self!

Here I found 5 ways to be more organized:

  • Your calendar
  • Organize two things every day
  • Keep an “action file.”
  • Become a giver!
  • Turn off the TV!

#1, calendar, i have one. #2 organize 2 things a day...hmmm...there are more than only 2 things that require me to organize. #3 keep an action file, seems like a great idea. #4 Become a giver, well...this one can't work with the problem I have. #5 Turn off the TV...for me it includes radio, and MP3 Player as well...coz I sing whenever a song is heard! :-)

Why I suddenly searched an article on organizing? Because I have so many things to do. I need to organize them all so I won't miss a thing.

What are those things anyway?

  • Translating comments on the previous book that I translated
  • Translating the recent novel, a very interesting one!
  • Reading books, I get crazy if I don't read
  • Play with Hana, my lovely daughter (I get even a lot crazier if I don't spend some time with her!)
  • Chit-chat with my dearest hubby
  • Listen to my grandma's story (she's happy if I do)
  • Hang out with my family
  • Redecorate my room
  • Monthly Shopping

Hah?! That many?! Can I do them all?!!!

How 'Short' is Your Story?

From a writing web on short story, I found some tips on how to write a good short story:

1. Have a clear theme.
2. An effective short story covers a very short time span.
3. Don't have too many characters.
4. Make every word count.
5. Focus.

I think I have followed tips no. 1, 2, 3, 5 but it seemed that I missed the point no. 4. Frankly speaking, it's not easy to write only meaningful words. When I write, sometimes, I just let my self free. And it's not always easy to stop my self :D.

So, now, I have to learn to watch out the words that I use in my short story.

What about you? How do you write your short story? Any of the 5 above is your way to write your short story?

Have a nice writing...

Projects for This WEEKEND

  1. Final touch and editing process of OCEANO MARE, a novel I have just finished translating
  2. Continuing Michelangelo's Notebook, the next novel I'll be translating

Other projects exist as well but those 2 are the most important and urgent. Hopefully I'll make it. Hopefully I won't get sick--hubby and hana are both sick now.

Finally, I do what I like!

Yiiippyyyy!!!
